You're listening to the Journal Party podcast where every week we get together for the ultimate journal jam session as we journal through life together as a community. My name's Alex Gallner, and I'll be your host. So, Here's how it works. I'll give you a journal prompt and a groove, and you just start writing. After a few minutes, you'll hear a little bell that sounds like this, and we'll move on to the next prompt. After a couple minutes, you'll hear that bell again, and we'll move on the next prompt and we'll just keep going on like that until we're finished. Feel free to write on whatever you like or even just follow along in your car. If you finish before the bell, you can try to dig deeper and elaborate or just chill out and enjoy the tunes. Don't overthink it. There's no wrong way to do this, so welcome to the party journal party. What's up party people? Are we all liking the new format? I guess it's not that different, but I figured that we could get the rules out of the way at the beginning so newcomers can know what they're getting into. I had another thing I wanted to clear up. People who know me know that I'm also a musician, and so I've had some people asking me if the songs that we jam out to every week are mine. And they're not. Although maybe if I get enough time, I can start making some tunes just for the show. But either way, I wanted to make sure to credit the artists in the show. Um, and I've done so in the show notes, so if you ever want to go check that out, if you're ever just jamming along to one of these journal prompt tracks and you gotta know who it is, just go ahead and check out the show notes. We've got a, a couple credits in there for you to check out. I highly encourage that you do so. Great music deserves to be recognized and celebrated. And that is what today's journal party is all about, music appreciation. So whether you're a seasoned musician or someone who just appreciates good tunes, taking the time to reflect on your relationship with music can be both cathartic and illuminating. So today, without further ado, we're going to be jamming through five journal prompts about music appreciation. So let's jump right in, get your journals ready, because here comes prompt number one. What was the first album you ever bought? Why did you choose it? Do you still enjoy listening to it? Tell your story. What was the first album you ever bought? Hi. Okay, here comes prompt number two. What is your favorite song of all time and why? What does it make you feel? What is your favorite song of all time and why? What does it make you feel? Here comes prompt number three. Who is your favorite musical artist and why? Who is your favorite musical artist and why? Moving along to prompt number four, what genre of music can you not stand and why? What genre of music can you not stand and why? All righty, folks. Last. Prompt of the day. What role does music play in your life? Is it something that you enjoy passively or actively to use it to relax, escape, or pump yourself up? What role does music play in your life? There it is. Nice work party people.
