What's up party people? You're listening to the Journal Party podcast where every week we get together for a little guided journaling jam sash. My name is Alex Goner and I'll be your host. So here's how it works. I'll give you a journal prompt and a groove, and you just start writing. After a few minutes, you'll hear a little bell that sounds like this, and we'll move on to the next prompt. After a couple minutes, you'll hear that bell again, and we'll move on to the next prompt and we'll just keep going on like that. Until we're finished, feel free to write 'em whatever you like. And if you finish before the bell, you can try to dig deeper and elaborate or just chill out and enjoy the tunes. Don't overthink it. There's no wrong way to do this. So welcome to the party journal party. Yoyo, yo, your boy Alex in the house, ready to do some journaling. All right, here's what I got going on. You know that feeling when you keep asking everyone else for advice, even though deep down you already know what you wanna do. Same. Trusting ourselves can feel weirdly hard sometimes, like we need someone else to give us permission to trust our own gut. But the truth is, self-trust isn't something we have to earn from others. It's already inside of us. We just have to practice listening to it. Today, we're gonna dig into that and give ourselves permission to know what we know. That's right. Today we're gonna be jamming through five journal prompts to help you strengthen your self-trust. So open up that journal. Let's get this party started. Here comes prompt number one, right about a time when you trusted your gut and it paid off. How did it feel to lean into your own wisdom? Prompt number two, where in your life do you tend to second guess yourself? What would it look like to trust yourself in those situations? Prompt number three, think of someone whose advice you often seek. What would happen if you just trusted yourself instead of asking them? Number four. What's one small decision you can make today without consulting anyone else? How does it feel to take ownership of that choice? Prop number five, write a few encouraging words to yourself about why you are already capable of making good decisions. Nice work party people. Go ahead and take a moment to sit with whatever came up for you today. Self-trust isn't about getting it right every time. It's about knowing that even when things don't go perfectly, you've got your own back, and that's super powerful now. If you're craving more support in building self-trust, I'd like to invite you to check out the journal Party app. It's got guided journaling sessions with mood and energy tracking, and an amazing community of people doing this work right alongside you.
