You're listening to the Journal Party podcast where every week we get together for the ultimate journal jam session as we journal through life together as a community. My name's Alex Gallner, and I'll be your host. So, Here's how it works. I'll give you a journal prompt and a groove, and you just start writing. After a few minutes, you'll hear a little bell that sounds like this, and we'll move on to the next prompt. After a couple minutes, you'll hear that bell again, and we'll move on to the next prompt and we'll just keep going on like that until we're finished. Feel free to write on whatever you like or even just follow along in your car. If you finish before the bell, you can try to dig deeper and elaborate or just chill out and enjoy the tunes. Don't overthink it. There's no wrong way to do this, so welcome to the party journal party. What's up party people? Hopefully we're all off to a great start this year. I know one of my resolutions is to be more aware of my energy and my mood, and it's not always easy to stay in a good mood, but journaling can be a great way to boost your positivity. And cultivate a better mood. When I'm feeling grumpy or a little off, I love to pick up my journal, and after a few pages, I'm usually in a much better place than where I started. It's like putting pen to paper and having a heart to heart with yourself. It also allows you to unload any negativity and work through challenging emotions, set positive goals for yourself, and gain clarity about what matters most in life. Plus, when you look back over all the progress you've made, it can leave you feeling accomplished and ready to take on whatever comes your way. That's why in today's episode we'll be journaling through five journal prompts to boost your mood. Get ready for your first prompt. Name three things that made you smile or laugh recently. Name three things that made you smile or laugh recently. All right. Hopefully you're already starting to feel a little better. Here comes prompt number two. What makes you feel calm and relaxed? What makes you feel calm and relaxed? All right, let's keep it going with prompt number three. What does joy look like for you? What does joy look like for you? Almost there. Here comes prompt number four. What three things are you most grateful for today? What three things are you most grateful for today? All right, here we go. Last prompt of the day. Write down three compliments you can give yourself today. Write down three compliments you can give yourself today. And there's the bell. Nice work. All right. Well, by thinking about these questions and more like them, you can obviously gain a little bit more clarity about what matters most in your life and set meaningful goals for yourself and ultimately foster a more positive outlook on your life in general. Now, if you're looking for more prompts, that will put you into a good mood. I definitely recommend that you check out the Self-Esteem program that we have in the app, as well as any of the gratitude programs that we have. They're all great for helping you to change your state into one that's more positive. Life's short. We might as well do what we can to feel good, not in a hedonic or hedonistic sort of way, but just. At your core. I think that if you're coming from a better feeling place, what you put out comes back and you get into patterns of goodness as opposed to when we engage life when we're at a balance. And that's my experience anyway. So let me know what you think. Hit me up on Twitter and Instagram at journal party, omg. I would love to hear your thoughts and please send in your requests for different prompt themes and that's our show. Folks, please leave a review and spread the word so we can make this an even bigger party next week. And I hope you have a wonderful week this week. Party on.
