Journaling for healing

Stop replaying an old hurt, even if they never say sorry.

Seven short sessions to take your time and attention back from something that still stings. You don't have to forgive anyone, contact them or tell the whole story.

Two women laugh together on a seaside path, a closed notebook in one tote bag.

You keep going over it.

A friend who dropped you, a remark from family, a promise that got broken. You reread the old texts, check their page and wait for an apology that might never come.

Over time one event can turn into a story about you, like "I never matter." This week you'll separate the two and work out what would help you now.

How a Journey works

  1. 1

Primer · sets up the idea

  2. 2

Practice · prompts and a timer while you write

  3. 3

A short read · to wrap up

A Journey is a series of guided sessions that works on one thing, a day at a time.

The Primer and the short read are narrated every day, and you can pick from two voices. Rain and café sounds can play in the background if you like them.

    Cheryl S.
  • “I love the prompts, they make me think and feel on a much deeper level than I'm used to.”
    Linda H.

Is this for you?

A good fit if:

  • Something from years ago still bothers you, and you'd like it to take up less of your day.
  • You have a journal or any notebook, and about 10 minutes a day.

Not the right fit if:

  • You're working through trauma or abuse. A therapist is the right support for that.
  • You're in crisis. Please call or text 988 in the US, or your local emergency number.

Questions

  • Do I write in the app?

No. You write in your own journal. On your phone or computer, each day gives you a narrated Primer that sets up the idea, a guided session with prompts and a timer, and a short read to wrap up.

  • How long does it take?

Seven days, about 10 minutes a day. If you miss a day, pick it up the next. Your place is saved.

  • Is this a subscription?

No. You pay once and keep it.

  • Can I use it on my phone?

Yes. Get the Journal Party app on iPhone or Android and sign in with the email you used at checkout, or use journalparty.com on your computer.

  • Is this therapy?

No. It's a guided journaling practice. If you're in crisis, call or text 988 in the US, or your local emergency number.
