You're listening to the Journal Party Podcast, where every week we get together for the ultimate journal jam sesh as we journal through life together as a community. My name's Alex Gallner and I'll be your host, so here's how it works. I'll give you a journal prompt in a groove and you just start writing. After a few minutes, you'll hear a little bell that sounds like this, and we'll move on to the next prompt. After a couple minutes, you'll hear that bell again, and we'll move on to the next prompt, and we'll just keep going on like that until we're finished. Feel free to write on whatever you like, or even just follow along in your car. If you finish before the bell, you can try to dig deeper and elaborate, or just chill out and enjoy the tunes. Don't overthink it. There's no wrong way to do this. So, welcome to the party. Journal party. What's up, party people? It's your host, Alex Gellner here, coming at you with another exciting episode of Journal Party. You know, as we get older, it seems like time just flies by, doesn't it? One moment it's January, and the next, it's January again. It's not even January right now, I don't know why I'm saying January, but I think you get the point. It seems like time's accelerating, and if we don't watch out, we can miss all the good parts of life. Getting caught up in the daily grind. But today, we're going to put a stop to all that and learn how to have a little bit more fun in our lives. Let's add some sparkle to our days and truly enjoy the ride. Today we're going to be jamming through five journal prompts to help you to discover ways to have more fun. So open up that journal and let's get this party started. Here comes prompt number one. Reflect on your childhood joys. Think back to your childhood. What activities or hobbies brought you the most joy? Write about these memories and how they made you feel. Is there a way to incorporate some of these activities into your adult life? Prompt number two, identify your current fun activities. List the activities you currently do that you consider fun. How often do you engage in these activities? What could you do to make more time for them in your schedule? Prompt number three. Explore new fun opportunities. Write about something new you've always wanted to try but haven't yet. What has been holding you back? How can you take the first step towards giving it a go? Prop number four. Fun with friends and loved ones. Think about the people in your life. Who do you have the most fun with? Plan an activity or an outing with them that you would both enjoy. What will you do and when? Prop number five, create a fun goal. Set a fun goal for yourself. This could be learning a new skill, planning a trip, or simply dedicating time each week to a fun activity. Write down your goal and the steps you'll take to achieve it. And there you have it, party people. I hope these prompts help you to tap into the fun side of life and inspired you to make more time for joy and laughter and all the good stuff. Remember, life is way too short to be all work and no play.
