You're listening to the Journal Party podcast where every week we get together for the ultimate journal jam session as we journal through life together as a community. My name's Alex Galler, and I'll be your host. So, Here's how it works. I'll give you a journal prompt and a groove, and you just start writing. After a few minutes, you'll hear a little bell that sounds like this, and we'll move on to the next prompt. After a couple minutes, you'll hear that bell again, and we'll move on to the next prompt and we'll just keep going on like that until we're finished. Feel free to write on whatever you like or even just follow along in your car. If you finish before the bell, you can try to dig deeper and elaborate or just chill out and enjoy the tunes. Don't overthink it. There's no wrong way to do this. So welcome to the Party Journal. Party. What's up? Party people? Welcome back to the Journal Party podcast. I thought I'd start today's show with a little bit of a confession. I hate conflict a lot. I always have, and I imagine I'm not alone in that. So I thought we could talk about it. Conflict can be a challenging and uncomfortable situation, but it's also an opportunity for growth and understanding. By taking a closer look at conflicts that we've experienced, we can better understand ourselves and the other parties involved. That's why in today's episode, we're going through five journal prompts to help you to resolve conflicts both past and present. So grab your journal. Let's get this party started. Here comes prompt number one. Write about a current conflict you're experiencing. What are your thoughts and feelings about the situation? What are some possible solutions to the conflict? Write about a current conflict. You're experiencing your thoughts and feelings about the situation. And some possible solutions to the conflict. All right. Great job. Let's move on to prompt number two. Write about a past conflict that you have resolved. What steps did you take to come to a resolution? What did you learn from the conflict and how did it change? You write about a past conflict that you have resolved. What steps did you take to come to a resolution and what did you learn from the conflict and how did it change you? Moving on to prompt number three, write about a conflict you experienced in the past that you were unable to resolve. What could you have done differently to try to resolve the conflict, and what did you learn from the situation? Right about a conflict you experienced in the past that you were unable to resolve. What could you have done differently to try to resolve the conflict, and what did you learn from the situation? All right, great work so far. On to prompt number four. Right about a time when you had to compromise with someone to resolve a conflict, how did you arrive at that compromise and what did you learn from the experience? Right? About a time when you had to compromise with someone to resolve a conflict. How did you arrive at that compromise and what did you learn from the experience? All right, final prompt of the day. Prompt number five is write about a time when you had to apologize to someone to resolve a conflict. What did you say in your apology and how did it impact the relationship? Right. About a time when you had to apologize to someone to resolve a conflict. What did you say in the apology and how did it impact your relationship? And that's it for today's prompts. Remember, resolving conflict takes effort and patience, but the end result is worth it. By seeking understanding and finding common ground, we can create stronger, more meaningful relationships. So thanks for doing that work. Appreciate your participation. And that's it for our show folks. Thank you so much for journaling with us. Hit me up on Twitter and Instagram at journal party, omg.
